Accountant
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Chief of accountant, the accountant is responsible of providing a financial service to the business supporting budgets and forecasts, analyzing trends and interfacing with business leaders to improve performance. The accountant is also responsible for Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.
Job Roles And Responsibilities
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take ownership in the execution of own activities, in accordance with the overall departmental goals, initiatives and plans
- Implement and execute policies and procedures during day-to-day activities and operations
- Work alongside other team members and actively contribute to build a productive and open work environment
Functional Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Engage with the development and implementation of annual financial plan taking into consideration all divisional and departmental requirements
- Implement the financial and operational planning agenda through annual budget & rolling forecasts (monthly latest outlook)
- Engage with the financial controls and compliance; and promoting integrity mindset within the business unit
- Conduct the execution of all accounting activities to ensure that transactions are executed according to accounting standard to improve financial operations efficiency
- Develop financial analysis, reporting and management activities and ensure that the financial reports are prepared and delivered on time
- Engage with both internal and external auditors regarding audit and verification of records, transactions, computerized systems, financial reports and statements, supporting schedules and accounts reconciliation
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent.
- 1 or 2 years of related experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic Language is required.
