Place in the Organisation

Is responsible to the principal. Supervises the Assistant Housemothers, the Nurse and any other

domestic staff.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:

 Is responsible for the general welfare of trainees in residence and for ensuring the discipline is

maintained in the dormitories and common rooms, particularly after normal working hours,

and in the dining rooms during meal time;

 Ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained in the dormitories at all the time;

period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the

availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing

need

Benefits Grade 10, Monthly Salary JD 598 & 300 Fills. Other benefits

include Provident Fund contribution (15% of basic salary paid

by the Agency) & medical insurance. Dependency allowance

is subject to eligibility.

 Organize and/or coordinates recreation activities as required.

 Organizes and supervises the work of domestic staff, and the nurse in the centre.

 Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

(A) Academic qualifications

 Completion of full secondary education

(B) Experience

 A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar post, or as a Head Teacher of school.

(C) Other qualifications

 Ability in leadership and in the handling of mature ager groups of students.

)D) Language

 Good Knowledge of Arabic and English.

(E) Competencies:

 Communication skills

 Problem solving

 Leadership

Desirable Qualification

 Possession of a university degree and/or a T.T. or Social worker certificate.

 Should be married and in the 30-40 age group.

Other Information

 Only candidates residing in Jordan with authorization to work in that duty station at the

time of application are eligible to apply. The Agency will not assume responsibility or

accountability to support or facilitate the issuance of work permit in the duty station, and

without a valid work permit, the appointment may be rescinded since the agency will not

provide coverage for relocation costs.

 Since this vacancy is an Area staff post, the Agency will not provide coverage for

relocation costs.

 Incumbent must be prepared to reside in the centre.
